Frequently Asked Questions About Laser Therapy
How long does the laser session last?
The laser session itself lasts about 30 minutes, but you should allow about one hour for your initial appointment, where we will conduct intake and ask you for information about your smoking habits.
What about weight gain?
Unlike other types of smoking cessation programs our program stimulates the metabolism along with reducing food cravings. Many people actually lose weight.
How many laser sessions will I need?
After your initial session we recommend a booster session the following week. You may receive up to five free boosters for the next six weeks.
Is laser therapy painful?
Laser therapy is drug-free AND NON-INVASIVE. Some patients report feeling a tingling or warming sensation but most patients report no sensation at all.
Is the laser session guaranteed?
Nicotine addiction consists of two major factors: physical and mental addiction. Laser therapy aids in the treatment of your physical addiction, however you will need to overcome the psychological addiction by avoiding situations that you have associated with smoking. Stress, caffeine, alcohol, work breaks and meals often stimulate a desire to smoke. You may need to adjust and learn to deal with these stimulants differently to avoid a smoking relapse.
How much does the laser treatment cost?
The cost of our treatment is $300.00 and includes one laser session plus up to five additional boosters. For many it is incentive enough to quit smoking because of the money saved. Most people save $225.00 per month when they quit.
What do I need to do to prepare for my laser treatment?
Prepare a plan of action: know what triggers you to smoke; know where, when and why you smoke; know what you will do differently now that you are smoke free. No smoking two hours before your appointment.
Will insurance cover this program?
Because our therapist is a certified acupuncturist as well as a certified laser therapist you may be reimbursed by your insurance company if acupuncture is covered under your insurance plan. This program is covered under Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. Additionally, some companies offer their employees wellness program benefits that may help to defray the cost of the service.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and cash.
